Take Care of Your Stainless Steel Saucepans
Pots
and pans are inevitable tool for cooking no matter what type of oven/ stove you
are using. You will hardly find any household where stainless steel saucepans are not being used. The
material is so popular everywhere because of its durability and ease of using.
Once we bought a saucepan, it goes on for years but its look becomes dull.
Here you will have a few useful tips to keep it shining and beautiful for
long
Baking
soda works lovely in removing spots and stains from the utensils. Sprinkle some
baking soda all over the pan, rub it with damp sponge and rinse well.
Dry
the pan immediately after washing to remove any watermark. Never store it
inside the closed cabinet without drying. Wipe out with cotton towel to absorb
extra water. Then leave it in the open air to dry completely. After that, put
it inside the shelf.
If you
add salt to water before it comes to boiling stage, ‘pitting corrosion’ may
take place which are tiny but will never go. Remember to add salt only into the
boiling water.
Heat
the pan before pouring oil and add food ingredients when the oil becomes hot.
This will need less oil to cook as the steel will temporarily become non-stick
if oil is poured onto the heated surface.
Don’t
transfer food directly from the refrigerator to the saucepan. The food will stick to the surface due to lower temperature and this is extremely harmful
for our body to consume.
